Chesuncook Lake
Campsites on Chesuncook Lake are managed by the Bureau of Parks and Lands. Chesuncook is the third largest lake in the State of Maine. Caution is urged as high winds can cause dangerous waves. Please be careful here.
Chesuncook Village is a popular stopping point for canoe groups. In bygone days, the village had over 100 year round residents, a school, a post office, stores, a church, hotels, a boarding house and an organized town government. Today the village boasts two sporting camps, a modest store, several seasonal camps, and a church that has Sunday services during June, July and August.
